APN# 027-741{ll Dear Ms. Urga: PROJECT UNDERSTANDING Per your request, GCW. lnc. (GCW) is pleased to submit this proposal for Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Services for the Nye County Fairgrounds Design of Off-Highway Vehicles and MX Track. This parcel is located in Nye County jurisdiction. The site is located at 4670 S. State Route 160 GCW will send Client additional services for work requested outside of the scope described below and for changes made by Cllent or Client's representative after the site plan is approved. Task 1 : Topoq raohic Survev GCW will perform field and offlce services, utilizing ground and aerial methods, to provide design- grade topography ofthe above-described area, as needed forengineering. Surveywill include location of above{round utilities, and inverts on manholes and water nut elevations in the adjacent area, if any. We propose to provide the services described above for a Lump Sum Fee of $9,520. Task 2: Gradinq GCW will prepare a Grading Plan to analyze site constrainls, earthwork balance, and stormwater conveyance. The Grading Plan will be prepared in conjunction with and will accompany the Technical Drainage Study as part of the Technical Drainage Study submittal package. The Grading Plan will be prepared per local agency Public Works requirements and other applicable codes. ltem includes preparatjon of street cross section and other grading-related details. ln addition, the Grading Plan for the OHV & MX Track will be designed per the recommendations as shown in the drainage study from Dyer Engineering Consultants dated June 11,2019. A title sheet, general notes, and quantities sheet. Construction quantities, construction notes, and additional details for clarification will also be provided. 2. Precise grading and paving plans for on-site development. These plans will identify the fine grading elevations along street centerlines and curb lines, top-of-curb elevations, pad elevations, finished floor elevations, and grade breaks. These plans will also reflect surface drainage and driveways. Grading details and cross-sections at property lines, retaining walls, berms, and street cross- sections are included in this task. Retaining walls will be shown horizontally with vertical information. However, structural design and calculations of the retaining walls are not included in this fee proposal. 3. Grading plan detail and cross sections sheets. 4. Prepare plan and profile for all interior streets. This task includes a profile of the storm drain. The plan and profile sheets will be prepared per local agency Standards. 5. Prepare horizontal control plans. 6. Prepare the Bond and Fee Estimate Form. We propose to provide the services described above for a Lump Sum Fee of $45,730. Task 4: Processinq of lmprovement Plans GCW will process the above sets of improvement plans through all the dry utility companies for signatures, and to the local agency for approval. Dry utility design is not included in this task. We propose to provide the services described above for a Lump Sum Fee of $6,000. Task 5: Proiect Manaoement GCW will coordinate with Client, the design team, and reviewing agencies for this project. This task includes attendance of up to 5 meetings and conference calls for this project. lf additional meetings are needed, a request for additional fees will be provided once lhe scope can be determined. lncluded in this task are meetings, conlerence calls, and the preparation of exhibits and other miscellaneous services as requested by Client. We propose to provide the services described above for a Lump Sum Fee of $7,000 Task 6: Construction Support GCW will provide up to five site visits during construction as requested by Client to make field observations and provide an observation report along with recommendations to Client. lncluded in this task, GCW will respond to Requests for lnformation (RFls) from the contractor and provide submittal reviews for non-standard items. Task 7: Reimbursable Expenses This fee estimate does not include fillng or submittal fees that may be required. A check will be requested from the Client when those fees are required. This fee estimate includes costs for reproduction of drawings and other out-of-pocket costs which will be invoiced at our actual cost. We recommend an estimated budget of $2,000 for reimbursable expenses. This budget will not be exceeded without your prior written authorization. We propose to provide the services described above on a Time and Material basis with an estimated budget of $7,500. Once this fee is exhausted additional monies will be requested. ---PAGE BREAK--- Nye County December 4, 2024 Page 3 072-24- 1 13 EXCLUSIONS Services rendered outside this soope of services are excluded from this proposal and may be completed by GCW for an additional fee if required. Additional services shall not be undertaken without prior written authorization from the Client for a mutually agreed upon fee as compensation. Scope of services exclusions, not limited to this list, are as follows: 1. Revisions to plans under design due to a change in informalion or design requirements provided to GCw by others (Client, Client's other Consultants). 2. Consultant services for dry utilities (power, gas, telephone, cable). Construction plans will be made available upon request for reference. 3. Acquisition of off-site easements. 4. Pavement thickness design. 5. Utility potholing or hydrant flow tests. 6. Soils/geotechnicalconsulting. 7. Preparation and processing of permits. 8. Constructionstaking. 9. Sewer lift station design. 10. Environmentaldocumentation. 1 1. 404 permit. 12. Final as-built drawings. 13. Drainage certificales. 14. A.L.T.A. suNeys. 15. FEMAcertifications. 16. The Client shall make every reasonable effort to review invoices within fifleen (15) working days from the date of receipt of the invoices and notify the Consultant in writing of any items that are alleged to be incorrect. These services may include coordination with governmenlal agencies, concept review assistance, etc. ln the event, our Hourly Rate Schedule changes, the fees for any remaining time and malerials will be ad.iusted to compensate for inflation.
