PAHRUMP ARENA ADVISORY COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES February 11, 2021 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee was held on February 11, 2021 at 7:00pm at the Bob Rudd Community Center. 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Chairman Robert Tibbits at 7:00pm. 2. Roll Call Steve Chase, Scot Tibbits, Jimmy Martinez, Michelle Chapell, Darius Mann, Robert Tibbits, and Cody Chapell were attending. 3. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (first). None. 4. Approval of the Agenda for February 11, 2021. Michelle Chapell motioned to accept. 2nd by Darius Mann. Passed. 5. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of minutes of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee meeting of January 14, 2021. Scot Tibbits motioned to accept. 2nd by Cody Chapell. Passed. 6. Announcements (first) High School rodeo is February 19-21. 7. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of the purchase of arena lighting system and misc. items needed. Jimmy stated there was an issue with the way the bid must be done, but there are plans to get that resolved. Issue may push project out a couple months. 8. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of new Arena Reservations. Arena board recommended that Nevada Western Heritage Foundation get their fees waived for the 2021 season, this is due to it being a non-profit, no gate fee, and promotes equine within children of the future. 9. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation to consider appointing a new Chair to the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee. ---PAGE BREAK--- PAHRUMP ARENA ADVISORY COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES February 11, 2021 Board realized that the new board was not discussed due to not having meeting in January. Decided to bring it back to next meeting and vote on board positions. 10. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation regarding arena fixes. Calf stripping chute improvement. Gate on North end of calf sorting area was knocked down. 11. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation to create a main email account for use by all members of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee. Need to get more information to bring back to the board for next meeting. Does the town want to give an address on their host, or can the board get another account through google as an example? 12.
