2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 l0 lt t2 l3 t4 I5 l6 t7 l8 l9 20 2t 23 24 22 25 TOWN OF PAHRUNIP RESOLUTION NO.2O24-OI A RESOLUTION DISSOLVING THE PAHRUMP NUCLEAR WASTE AND ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the Nye County Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the goveming board for the Town of Pahrump is responsible for protecting the health, welfare and safety of the citizens ofthe unincorporated Town of Pahrump; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Pahrump Nuclear Waste and Environmental Advisory Committee (PNWEAC) is to act in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners with regard to nuclear waste and environmental issues affecting the Town ofPahrump, and to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners with respect to requests for information regarding nuclear waste and environmental issues in Southem Nevada and within the Town of Pahrump; and WHEREAS, Nevada Revised Statue 241.015(4) defines a public body as any administrative, advisory, executive or legislative body of the State or a local government consisting ofat least two persons which expends or disburses or is supported in whole or in part by tax revenue or which advises or makes recommendations to any entity which expends or disburses or is supported in whole or in part by tax revenue, including, but not limited to, any board, commission, committee, subcommittee or other subsidiary thereof and includes a library foundation as defined in NRS 379.0056, an educational foundation as defined in subsection 3 ofNRS 388.750 and a university foundation as defined in subsection 3 ofNRS 396.405, if the administrative, advisory, executive or legislative body is created by; and WHEREAS, PNWEAC does not serve the purpose it was intended for, does not expend or disburse tax revenue, and has not advised or made recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners, the entity which expends or disburses or is supported in whole or in part by tax revenue.
