PAHRUMP ARENA ADVISORY COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES April 14, 2022 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee was held on April 14, 2022 at 7:00pm at the Board of County Commissioners Chambers. 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order 7:00pm, Robert called meeting to order; Pledge spoken. 2. Roll Call Robert T, Michelle C, Cody C, Scot T, Steve C, Steve P, Jimmy Martinez, Debbie Pastorelli. 3. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (first). None. 4. Approval of the Agenda for April 14, 2022. Scot made a motion to approve, Cody second, all in favor. 5. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of minutes of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee meeting of March 10, 2022. Steve P made a motion to approve, Cody second, all in favor. 6. Announcements (first) No PVRR in April. 7. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of any new Arena Reservations. Pahrump Valley Obedience Club requests cook shack Oct 28-30, 2022. Michelle motions to accept reservation, Scot seconds, all in favor. 8. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation regarding the Fairgrounds. Scot did not receive a reply about the possibility of there being unused arena equipment in Hawthorne. Michelle waiting for email plans from Preifert. Robert suggests calling 2 other manufacturers. Steve P. going to contact Ted Groene to get a quote. 9. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation regarding extra lighting for stock pens. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation regarding the purchase of a de- rocking machine. Michelle to contact Horseman’s Park to set up an appointment to see it work. 11. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation regarding arena fixes. Power to announcers stand still not working. A generator is being provided to power announcing equipment. 12. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas) Robert requested to inquire about who used the cook shack during Music Fest. 13.
