Resolution No. 90-1 RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH THE PAHRUMP TO~lN CAPITAL PROJECT FUND Whereas, at a regular meeting of the Town Board of Pahrump Town, Coun t Y 0 f Nye, S ta teo f N ev a da, he 1 d on 1990, the following resolution was adopted: Whereas, the Board has determined that a need exists to establish a capital project fund as defined in NRS 354.5335 to account for all resources used for the acquisition or construction of designated fixed assets by the Town of Pahrump. Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Town Board requests that the Nye County Auditor/Recorder and the Nye County Treasurer establish a ne",; fund called "Pahrump Town T V. Construction Fund". Dated 1990 ---PAGE BREAK--- Re so I uti on No. _ RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH AN INVESTMENT POLICY FOR TOWN FUNDS ON DEPOSIT WITH THE NYE COUNTY TREASURER Whereas, at a regular meeting of the Town Board of Pahrump Town, County of Nye, State of Nevada, held on March 8. J 990 the following resolution was adopted: 1990, Whereas, the Town Board has determined that a need exi s ts to establish an investment policy for funds of the town on deposit with the Nye County Treasurer. Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Town Board's policy for the investment of funds is as follows: 1. All investments will be those authorized by the laws of Nevada. 2. No investment will have a maturity beyond six months of date of purchase. 3. All investments will be done by written communication to the Nye County Treasurer from the Town Manager or Town Clerk and will be reported on at the next regular Board meeting. 4. The Board recognizes that situations may arise in which the Nye county Treasurer may find that a prompt decision may need to be made. When this occurs, either the Town Manager or Town Clerk may communicate a decision to the Nye County Treasurer by telephone. A written communication confirming the decision is then to be made. 5. The interest earned is to be credited to the fund from which the investments are made. NOW, therefore, be it resolved that the Town Board requests that Nye County Auditor/Recorder and the Nye County Treasurer transfer $ 84,502.00 from the Pahrump Town Capi tal Proj ect Fund to the Pahrump Town Animal Shelter and Special Projects Fund. Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Town Board requests that the Nye County Auditor/Recorder and the Nye County Treasurer establish a nev' fund called "Pahrump Town Animal Control and Special Projects". Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was unanimously, IlliSOLVED AND PROCLAH'IED that the second weekend after Labor Day, be and the same, shall be knol<>'Il and celebrated as "PAHRill1P HARVEST FESTIVAL vIEEK". BE IT FURTHER PillSOLVED AND PROCLAIMED that the employmees of the unincorporated Town of Pahrump, of the local businesses, and the townspeople "ear and promote western dress during these days as an indication of Pahrump's Pioneer Heritage. NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Board of the Town of Pahrump resolves as follows: 1. That the Count y of Nye, by and through its Liquor and Brothel Board expand its jurisdiction over privileged adult ---PAGE BREAK--- Page two oriented businesses to include massage parlors and escort services as is their obligation under N.R.S. 244.345, and 2.
