AMENDED PAHRUMP TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION TO: NYE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DATE: FEBRUARY 23, 1993 SUBJECT: URGENT HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR PAHRUMP CITIZENS WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Pahrump has examined a proposal by Cambridge Health System, Inc. , a Nevada not-for-profit corporation, a/k/a Spring Valley Hospital, to provide medi.cal out-reach services in Pahrump in coordination with the construction of a new hospital in Clark County, Nevada, and WHEREAS, said proposal includes, among other plans, provisions for 24-hour emergency care, observat ion beds, chemotherapy and dialysis and a pharmacy, staffed 24 hours a day by physicians and registered nurses, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that these serVl"ces are critically needed by the residents of the unincorporated Town of Pahrump and are l"n the best interests of the health and welfare of the residents of Pahrump, and WHEREAS, as a condition of providing the above services, it is necessary for Cambridge Health System, Inc. to have authorized by the State of Nevada bonds which will be sold to finance the proj ect, and WHEREAS, the residents of the Town of Pahrump shall not be obligated, in any manner, relating to the sale of said bonds, and WHEREAS, as a further condition to providing said services, Cambridge Health System, Inc. intends to peti.tion the County Commissioners of Nye County, Nevada, to provide the physical hospital facility to be located within the unincorporated Town of Pahrump and which facility is to be paid for by Nye County, Nevada, and WHEREAS, Cambridge Health System, Inc. has requested that the Town Board of the Town of Pahrump and Nye County, by and through the County Commi"ssioners endorse its medical out-reach program to the State of Nevada In order to facilitate the authorization of said bonds, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has unanimously agreed that such a plan and proposal will inure to the best health and welfare of the citizens it reprcsents.
