l ' BILL NO. 86-1 PAHRUHP TOWN ORDINANCE NO. 20 THE PAHRUHP TOWN BOARD finds as follows: WHEREAS, there is now no official street map of the Town of Pahrump showing all public rights-of-way and the n~mes thereof; WHEREAS, there are no formal rules for the naming of streets and other rights-of-way, and there are duplicate names and unnamed streets and other rights-of-way; WHEREAS, there are no Town regulations regarding street name and other roadway and traffic control signs as to standards of style, construction, and installation; AND WHEREAS, all of the above are needed by the Town to facilitate travel within the Town boundaries for emergency vehicles and the general populace; NOW, THEREFORE, The Pahrump Town Board pursuant to the authority of NRS 269.155 through 269.160 inclusive, and S.B. 463, Act of June 14, 1985, does ordain: ---PAGE BREAK--- BILL NO. 86-1 PAHRUHP TOWN ORDINANCE NO. 20 PAHRUHP TOWN ORDINANCE - STREET NAMING AND ROAD SIGN ORDINANCE Sections: 20.000 20.100 20.200 20.300 20.400 Title Short: Title Pahrump St:reet: Hap Street Names Approval of Street Kames ---PAGE BREAK--- I i ! i I I le BILL NO. 86-l PAHRUMP TOWN ORDINANCE NO. 20 20.000 20.010 20.100 20.200 20.210 20.220 20.230 20.300 20.310 ~:0.320 TITLE. An ordinance to authorize an offical street map of the unincorporated Town of Pahrump, provide for its maintainance, specify how streets shall be named and the approval authority for such, require Town Board approval of subdivision and parcel maps for street names and sign requirements, specify standards for street name signs and their installation, and provide penalties for violation of the provisions of this ordinance. SHORT TITLE. This title shall be known as the "Street Names and Road Signs Ordinance." DEFINITIONS. Terms c1sed in this ordinance are in accordance with the "General Provisions Ordinance" (PTO. 19) of the unincorporaed Town of Pahrump. PAHRUMP STREET MAP FORMATION OF STREET HAP. The Pahrump Town board shall cause to be created a map of the Town of Pahrump on which shall be shown all highways, streets, roadways, and easements for public travel, whether built or not, and the names given and approved for such, "'hich exist I.Jithin the boundaries of the Town. Such shall be known as the official map of the Town of Pahrump. UPDATING STREET MAP. Once created, the Town Board shall cause the official map of Pahrump to be updated as often as the board shall deem necessary, but not less often than once each year, to show new highways, streets, roadways, and easements, or changes to existing rights-of-way, and the approved names of such, and to make such other changes and dditions as the Board shall find necessary or desirable. FILING OF STREET MAP. An information copy of the official map of Pai1rump, as well as a copy of any revisions, shall be filed with the Recorder and Assessors Offices of Nye County.
