Welcome to The Special Projects Nursery: We are a new nursery in North Las Vegas that is devoted to raising Native Plants that naturally live in our environment. We believe that the seeds of these native plants we collect and propagate can make a difference in our landscapes, especially when it comes to promoting ones that attract pollinators. We have proof that these plants are easier to grow, they need less water, they don’t seem to worry about the summer heat, they aren’t particular with what soil they grow in, they don’t need fertilizers or do they attract insects that may harm other non-native plants. Most important is that these native plants are that perfect addition to planning your xeriscape landscape that will begin your path to a better environment in our difficult climate. Let’s face it, they were here thousands of years before we were? It’s time to refocus on them. We are open on a reservation only schedule. Generally we’re at TSPN each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning 8 til noon, but call us first at [PHONE REDACTED] to make sure we are there or when we can meet you at another time. The TSPN is at 5020 N El Capitan off of the side street La Maude, Las Vegas, NV 89149 Park on La Maude on the North side of the street, enter at the second gate. We’d love to see you and show you what we are doing! We are a 501 3C non-profit company and we would be happy to work with you and any of your project needs. This coming Tuesday, April 20th, Thursday 22nd and Saturday 24th we’ll be hosting an “open nursery” to show you around from 9am until 12 noon. Come on out and let us show you what we are doing and what we have planned? The attached file will show you the Native Plants we currently have in stock: Others we can grow for you! In addition to providing Native Plants to the public, we offer clinics and consulting services to any of you who want help in planning your Native Plant environment? Thank you! Doyle Wayman Nursery Director with the help of my 3 partners and many, many volunteers!
