Pahrump Public DRAFT MINUTES Land Advisory Committee May 9, 2023 Pursuant to NRS, a meeƟng of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee was held on May 9, 2023, at 5:00pm at the Pahrump Veterans Memorial Building, 751 East Street, Pahrump, NV 89048 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order. 5:02pm 2. Roll Call. Frank Slaghuis, Robert Adams, Mike Zaman, Rick Treter, Commissioner Strickland, Jim Hannah, Charles Ballow, Donna Ballow. 3. Approval of the agenda for May 09, 2023. No changes. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute Ɵme limit per person.) AcƟon will not be taken on the maters considered during this period unƟl specifically included on an agenda as an acƟon item (First). Jim Hannah asked about progress on the Fairgrounds. 5. For Possible AcƟon – Discussion and deliberaƟon of minutes of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee meeƟng of April 11, 2023. DraŌ minutes not linked to agenda. Item moved to May 15 PLAC workshop & special meeƟng. 6. Announcements (First). Robert Adams menƟoned NDOR (NV Dept. of Outdoor RecreaƟon) grants due May 31st. 7. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas). Robert Adams asked if any had reviewed the trails links he had shared specific to the Old Spanish Trail. Commissioner Strickland and Jim Hannah can’t atend planned guzzler repair ouƟng tomorrow. OuƟng postponed. 8. For Possible AcƟon – Discussion and deliberaƟon regarding PPLAC applicaƟon from Jim Hannah. Rick Treter moved to approve. 2nd by Frank Slaghuis. Yes by all. 9. Progress report by Commissioner Debra Strickland on shooƟng range. Moving ahead with acquiring the Murphy pit if appraisal supports the asking price. $550K set aside.
