PAHRUMP ARENA ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tourism Office Conference Room 400 N. Hwy 160, Pahrump, NV 89048 Thursday August 8, 2024 7:00 p.m. / 19:00 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order. 2. Roll Call. Robert T, Darius Scot Tawny Michelle Jimmy Martinez, Peugh, Christina Cothery, Shawna Krebs, Taylur Bistline, Commissioner Strickland by phone. 3. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First). None. 4. Approval of the Agenda for August 8, 2024. Darius motions to approve, Scot seconds, all in favor. 5. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of Minutes of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee, meeting on July 11, 2024. Darius motions to approve, Scot seconds, all in favor. 6. Announcements (First). PAAC Jackpot barrel race on August 23, 2024. 7. Liaison/ Nye County Staff/ Town of Pahrump Staff Comments: (This item limited to announcements/ topics/ issues proposed for future workshops or agendas). None. 8. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of arena reservations. Circus requests March 12, 2025. Sunday barrel race details are set there will be a morning race and add money 5D. 11. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding arena upgrades and repairs, and equipment purchases. Tripods and pole bases still need to be ordered. Multiple walk throughs at the arena will happen before Fall Fest. 12.
