January 10, 2020 Page 1 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Nuclear Waste and Environmental Advisory Committee was held January 10, 2020 at 11:30 A.M at the Chief Tecopa Cemetery, Multipurpose Building, located 751 S East St Pahrump, NV 89048. Board Members in attendance: John Pawlak, Debra Perna, Bill Stremmel (call-in from the Republic of Panama), Bob Adams Also present: Commissioner Blundo, Deborah Woodland, Mary Fisher, Deborah Aitken, Heather Freeman, John Klenke. 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Roll Call Noted above. 3. Approval of the Agenda for January 10, 2020. Vote: 4 Yea 0 Nay 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First) 5. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of the minutes for the Pahrump Nuclear Waste and Environmental Advisory Committee, meeting of December 6, 2019. Vote: 4 Yea 0 Nay 6. Announcements (First) None. 7. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas) Bob Adams suggested day and time change for committee meetings be added to the next meeting agenda. 8. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation to accept the resignation of Mary Duff and approve or reject new committee applications. The applicants are Dale Griffith, Dan Schinhofen and Robert Adams. Approved all applicants and Mary Duff’s resignation. Vote 4 Yea - 0 Nay 9. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation regarding the election of officers for the 2020 Pahrump Nuclear Waste and Environmental Advisory Committee. Pended to the next meeting, scheduled for Friday, February 7th at 11:30am at the Chief Tecopa Cemetery conference room. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation to permanently move the Pahrump Nuclear Waste & Environmental Advisory Committee meetings to the Chief Tecopa Cemetery, Multipurpose Building, located at 751 S. East St Pahrump, NV 89048. Approved 4 Yea 0 Nay 11. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding revisions to the Committee work plan for 2020. Pended to the next meeting, scheduled for Friday, February 7th at 11:30am at the Chief Tecopa Cemetery conference room. 12. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding Earth Day/Arbor Day 2020. No change to date or location, currently Ian Duetch Park on Saturday, April 18th. It was decided to also provide Chicago hot dogs and chips. Vote: 4 Yea 0 Nay 13. For possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding Environment issues in Southern Nevada and within the Town of Pahrump. None. 14.
