1 2021 Pahrump Fall Festival Arts & Crafts Section & Lot Categories ART DIVISION (SECTIONS A - C) ENTERING & JUDGING CRITERIA: 1. All artwork must be completely dry, framed (unless gallery wrapped), and ready to hang with a wire hanger (NO saw tooth, cardboard, glued or taped hangers). 2. All photographs must be framed and ready to hang with a wire hanger (NO saw tooth, cardboard, glued or taped hangers). **This is extremely important!! 3. Please note whether the finish is glossy or matte for judging. 4. Artwork and photographs must be no smaller than 4” x 6” and no larger than 30” x 30” including frame. 5. Art, photography, graphic arts and computer art will be judged for: Composition and design; Originality; Color/harmony or contrast; Technique and overall presentation. SECTION A: ART Lot 1: Acrylics Lot 2: Oils Lot 3: Watercolor (transparent or opaque watercolors, gouache; can include ink or pencil) Lot 4: Mixed media (a combination of multiple media; includes collage) Lot 5: Drawing (pastels, ink, charcoal, pencil, crayons & colored pencils) Lot 6: Digital (computer generated original art) Lot 7: Encaustic Lot 8: Other SECTION B: PHOTOGRAPHY (If your photograph is a glossy finish, add a after the category number, if a matte finish, add an after the category number; i.e. Lot 10-6-G, or Lot 11-2-M) Lot 9: Black & White only Lot 10: General photography 1. Picturesque (broad view of a landscape, waterscape, cityscape) 2. Sunrise/Sunset 3. Botanicals (flowers, plants & trees only) 4. Architectural 5. Weather 6. Night Sky 7. Transportation Lot 11: People, Animals & Sports 1. People (candids, action shots, human interest) 2. Portrait (planned photo that shows identity of person/persons) 3. Wild Animals (can include insects, birds, fish– no humans) 4. Domestic Animals (no humans) Lot 12: Computers & more 1. Composite/Computer art 2.
