PPRAC Minutes September 2, 2020 Page 1 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee was held on September 2, 2020 at 6:30 PM at the Chief Tecopa Cemetery Multipurpose Building, located at 751 S East St Pahrump, NV 89048. Secretary - Helen W. Schneider, Vanessa Simmons, Eugene Frank and David Harris. 1. Pledge of Allegiance The pledge was recited at 6:30pm. 2. Roll Call Members present Helen Schneider, Vanessa Simmons and David Harris. Eugene Frank arrived 6:35. Guests: Jimmy Martinez and Debra Strickland were absent. 3. Approval of the Agenda for September 2, 2020. David Harris made a motion to accept the agenda. Vanessa Simmons seconded, and the motion was approved 3-0. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (first). None. 5. Announcements (first) None. 6. Possible Action – Election of Officers to finish the terms of Chairman and Vice- Chairman for the remaining of this year. Helen Schneider made a motion for David Harris to be Chairman. Vanessa Simmons seconded the motion and approved 3-0. Helen Schneider made a motion for Vanessa Simmons to be Vice-Chairman. David Harris seconded the motion and approved 3-0. 7. For Possible action- Discussion and deliberation of the minutes of the Pahrump Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Minutes July 29, 2020. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of the Pahrump Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee By-Laws. The committee reviewed and made changes to the by-laws in order to make them more understandable. The changes will be reviewed at our next regular meeting September 16, 2020. 9. General Public Comment (second). None 10. Announcements (second). Vanessa Simmons will be in MT for 2 months. 11. AJOURMENT Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
