PAHRUMP NUCLEAR WASTE & ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES March 19, 2021 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Nuclear Waste & Environmental Advisory Committee was held on March 19, 2021 at 11:30am via teleconference. 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order The Pledge was recited. 2. Roll Call Bob Adams, Bill Stremmel, John Pawlak, Mike Smith. Guest: Heather Freeman 3. Approval of the Agenda for February 05, 2021. 4 yay/0 nay 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (first). Bill S. spoke with Mike S. regarding issues recycling bins at the local Walmart. 5. Announcements (first) Dan Schinhofen has resigned from the committee. 6. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for the future.) NONE 7. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation – Continued planning of Earth Day/Arbor Day 2021. 4 yay/0 nay John Pawlak explained that, during a phone conversation, on Thursday, March 4th, the County/Town Manager Tim Sutton had OK’d the abbreviated “Grab N’ Go”, Earth Day/Arbor Day event to be held at the parking lot at Ian Deutch Memorial Park on April 24th from 10 am to 2 pm or until the 200-earth day/arbor day supplies run out. A small group of 10 to 12 volunteers will hand out the items to cars entering the parking area between the ball fields and leaving immediately after receiving their gifts. Traffic will be directed by Nye County Sheriff’s office. 8.
