PAHRUMP PUBLIC LANDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE Pursuant to NRS, April 9, 2024, a meeting of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee was held at the Veterans Memorial Building, 751 East Street, Pahrump, NV 89048 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order. 5 p.m. 2. Roll Call. Mike Zaman, Robert Adams, Jim Hannah, Timothy Davidheiser Commissioner Deb Strickland, BLM PFO Manager Nick Pay. Frank Slaghuis absent. Guests: Mike Fender, Mike & Joyce Barishman. 3. Approval of the agenda for April 9, 2024. No changes. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First). Held to agenda item. 5. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of minutes of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee meetings of March 12, 2024. Robert Adams stated the NC draft renewable Bill was posted in the Minutes backup in red text. LCB format uses red text to indicate delete. Secretary Adams will resubmit doc in with text in correct colors. Jim Hannah moved to accept with changes, 2nd by Mike Zaman, yes by all. 6. Announcements (First). BOCC Chair Strickland reported prepping NC’s draft renewables Bill will be continued an additional month, NV State Parks awarded NC $80k ($9K match) for a vault toilet, shade structures, and tables for the Southside Trailhead. OML & ethics classes are 1000 this Wednesday or Friday. 7. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas). Robert Adams stated he rode the first sand wash section of Battleborn Trail Phase 2 and reported it still in good shape from the winter storms. 8. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to approve Battleborn Trail logo artwork. Robert Adams asked we consider white outside edge with black lettering for highly visibility affixed to brown carsonite marker posts. Jim Hannah moved we continue the item to next month. 2nd by Mike Zaman. Yes by all. 9. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to set a time and day to scope Carpenter Canyon NDOW wildlife watering guzzlers.
