Section ID: Section: Title: Peddlers, Vendors (Amendment) Last Revised Date: 1/15/2003 Description: AMENDMENT TO PAHRUMP TOWN ORDINANCE NO. 31 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PAHRUMP TOWN ORDINANCE NO. 31 AND REPEALING ALL PROVISIONS INCONSISTENT HERETO, AMENDING SECTION 31.050 APPROVAL OF APPLICATION; ISSUANCE OF PERMIT; AMENDING SECTION 31.080 PERMIT FEES; AMENDING SECTION 31.090 DURATION OF PERMIT; AMENDING SECTION 31.110 EXEMPTIONS; EFFECTIVE DATE; REPEAL; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO. WHEREAS, the Town Board of the unincorporated Town of Pahrump deems it advisable to provide for permits with longer durations, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the unincorporated Town of Pahrump has found that amendments to Ordinance No. 31 are necessary to better carry out the purposes, design and intent of the Ordinance and to further facilitate good business practices, NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Board of the unincorporated Town of Pahrump, Nye County, Nevada, does hereby ordain as follows: That Pahrump Town Ordinance No. 31, enacted on August 3, 1991 be, and hereby is amended as follows: Section 31.050 is hereby amended by adding “or his designee” after Town Manager at the end of the first sentence as follows: 31.050 Approval of Application; Issuance of Permit. The application shall be reviewed and if approved, the permit, shall be signed by the Town Manager or his designee. Section 31.080 is hereby amended by adding the following sentence at the end of the section as follows: “For the purposes of this Ordinance, a husband and wife shall be designated as one salesperson.” Section 31.090 is hereby amended by deleting it in its entirety, and replacing said Section 31.090 with the following: 31.090 Duration of Permit. Permits may be issued for periods not to exceed one month, three months, six months or one year. Each permit issued shall correctly designate the length of time for which the permit is valid.” ---PAGE BREAK--- Section 31.110 is hereby amended by deleting from the second sentence of Paragraph the words “or other permanent structure”. Effective Date. This amended ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, adoption and second publication in the Pahrump Valley Times, a newspaper printed and published within the County of Nye, State of Nevada. Repeal. All ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Town in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. PEDDLERS, SOLICITORS AND TEMPORARY MERCHANTS Proposed on the 11th day of June, 1991.
