Page 1 November 4, 2021 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Tourism Advisory Committee was held at 8:00AM on November 4, 2021 in the Board of County commissioners Chambers in Pahrump, Nevada. 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Chairman James Horton at 8:01am in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers. 2. Roll Call Attendees: PTAC members - James Horton, Catherine Tillet, Jack Sanders and Tim Burke. Debbie Davis excused. Not excused – Karen Spalding, Kellie Graham, Vicki Gladsjo, Deanna O'Donnell. 3. Approval of the Agenda for November 4, 2021 Agenda approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person). Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item. (FIRST) Timothy Bohannon and Michael Hyde gave an overview of their proposed equine development for Pahrump. Frank spoke about Beatty's marketing and their use of radio advertising. 5. FOR POSSIBLE ACTION: Discussion and Deliberation of Minutes of the Pahrump Tourism Advisory Committee meeting of July 15, 2021 No action was taken and any possible approval was postponed until the next meeting. 6. ANNOUNCEMENTS (FIRST) Catherine Tillet announced that the off-road races would be returning on January 5-9, 2022, and that the event will allow spectator participation this time. 7. For Possible Action – Discussion and Deliberation regarding Tourism Director’s update, activity reports and projects Alex Crow, in Arlette's Ledbetter's absence, gave a brief overview of the department's marketing stats. 9. For Discussion Only – A report by Robert Adams, Pahrump's OHV Tourism Ambassador Bob briefed the committee on proposed solar developments in the Pahrump vicinity. 10. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation for any tourism-related recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners, with respect to PTAC's role as an advisory committee to the BOCC. No new recommendations were offered at this time. 11. GENERAL COMMENT (SECOND) None. 12. ANNOUNCEMENTS (SECOND) Next meeting scheduled for January 13, 2022 at 8:00 am. 13.
