PAHRUMP PUBLIC LANDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES April 12, 2022 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee was held on April 12, 2022, at 5:00pm at the Board of County Commissioners Chambers. 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:00pm. 2. Roll Call Jim Hannah, Mike Zaman, Frank Slaghuis, Robert Adams, Rick Tretter, Deb Strickland. 3. Approval of the agenda for April 12, 2022. No changes. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (first). None. 5. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of minutes of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee meeting of March 08, 2022. Rick Tretter moved to approve. 2nd by Jim Hannah. Yes, by all. 6. Announcements (first) None. 7. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas) Commissioner Strickland reported progress of shooting range at Mesquite & Higley. 8. Presentation – Report by BLM (Bureau of Land Management) on the status of proposed actions and projects located on lands managed by the BLM’s Pahrump and Las Vegas Field Offices. BLM representatives not present. 9. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to participate in the Wild West Extravaganza located at Petrack Park. Jim Hannah opened discussion. Event dates May 5 thru 8. Participation by other Town advisory committee’s discussed. Frank Slaghuis moved to approve. 2nd by Jim Hannah. Yes, by all. 10. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to set time, day, and meeting places to survey NDOW Spring Mountain guzzlers. Rick Tretter moved we meet May 11 at 8am. 2nd by Robert Adams. Yes, by all. 11. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to set time and place for next meeting. Rick Tretter moved we meet May 11 at 5pm. 2nd by Robert Adams. Yes, by all. 12. General Public Comment (second). The Pup Fish population at Devil’s Hole is rising. 13. Announcements (second).
