I TOWN OF PAHRUMP PROCLAMATION NO. P2020-01 2 A PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING THE TOWN OF PAHRUMP AS AN OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLE (OHV) FRIENDLY COMMUNITY 3 4 WHEREAS, the Town of Pahrump is committed to attracting OHV visitors to participate in the 5 variety of OHV activities offered; and, 6 WHEREAS the Town of Pahrump has existing scenic trails throughout the valley that have been 7 enjoyed by off road visitors year after year; and, 8 WHEREAS, the Town of Pahrump enjoys access to the Spring Mountain range including a 9 beautiful array of established trails and scenic canyons; and, 10 WHEREAS, the Town of Pahrump is committed to creating a safe environment for OHV family 11 recreational enjoyment; and, 12 WHEREAS, the Town of Pahrump has appointed an OHV ambassador for the further 13 development of OHV locations and activities; and 14 WHEREAS, the Town of Pahrump Tourism Department has created campaign resources to 15 further market and attract the OHV visitor; and 16 NOW, THEREFORE, WE, the Nye County Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the 17 Governing Body of the Unincorporated Town of Pahrump do hereby proclaim Pahrump, Nevada to be 18 an Off-Highway Vehicle Friendly Community. 19 APPROVED this 21st day of April, 2020. 20 NYE COUNTY ATTEST: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: 21 22 23 24 J&hf(Koenig, ‘i rman Sandra .
