PAHRUMP ARENAADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES Board of Nye County Commissioners Chambers 2100 E. Walt Williams Drive, Pahrump, NV 89048 September 08, 2022 7:00 PM / 19:00 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order. 7:00 Cody called meeting to order, Pledge spoken. 2. Roll Call Michelle C, Cody C, Scot T, Darius M, Steve P, Steve C, Commissioner Strickland, Jimmy Martinez, Debbie Pastorelli, Victoria Seastrunk, Shawna Krebs, Tim Bohanon 3. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First) None 4. Liaison/ Nye County Staff/ Town of Pahrump Staff Comments: (This item limited to announcements/ topics/ issues proposed for future workshops or agendas) Commissioner Strickland said she’s got possibly of funds to start fairgrounds facility. 5. Approval of the Agenda for Sept 8, 2022. Darius made a motion to approve, Cody second, all in favor 6. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of Minutes of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee, meeting of August 11, 2022. Announcements (First) NWHF has a barrel race Sept 10 & PVRR will be combining shows with NWHF 8. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of Arena Reservations Wild West Little Britches requests Oct 22 & 23, 2022 Scot motions to accept, Cody seconds, all in favor. Lou Baker Harley Davidson requests Oct 14-16, 2022 Michelle motions to accept, Steve C seconds, all in favor. WCMB requests Dec 1-10, 2022 Michelle motions to accept, Scot seconds, all in favor. PVHS/ JrHS requests Feb 17-19, 2023 Scot motions to accept reservation with stipulation all stalls will be rented from the town, Cody seconds, all in favor. 9. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation regarding fairgrounds. Commissioner Strickland says we can go forward with obtaining pricing on lighting, seating, & plumbing 10. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding extra lighting for stock pens Extra solar light to be installed after Fall Fest 11. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding the purchase of a de-rocking machine. Waiting for email response from Clark County 12. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding arena fixes. Jimmy given the needed repairs before Fall Fest 13.
