2024 Pahrump Fall Festival Arts & Crafts / Food & Horticulture Theme – “Medieval” Schedule All Entries will be accepted at the Bob Ruud Community Center located at 150 N. Hwy 160. Arts & Crafts • Monday, September 16 – 10:00am – 6:00pm • Tuesday, September 17 – 10:00am – 6:00pm Framed photographs & paintings will be turned away if not properly wired for hanging Food & Horticulture • Tuesday, September 17 – 10:00am – 6:00pm • Wednesday, September 18 – 10:00am – 6:00pm No entries of any kind will be accepted after 6:00pm on Wednesday, September 18 Exhibits open to the public: • Friday, September 20, 11:00pm – 6:00pm • Saturday, September 21, 11:00pm – 6:00pm • Sunday, September 22, 10:00am – 4:00pm Pick up entries with receipts on Sunday, September 22 beginning at 4:15pm & no later than 5:15pm. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 2024 Pahrump Fall Festival Rules Eligibility: 1. All exhibitors must be amateurs; age groups are as follows: • Tadpole – 0-4 years • Peewee – 5-8 years • Youth – 9-12 years • Teen – 13-17 years • Adult – 18 & over • Multi-Star (special needs) any age 2. Entries must not have been entered in previous Pahrump Fall Festivals. 3. Entries must be the work of the exhibitor. 4. An amateur is anyone who has not received more than $2,500 income within the past year from the sale of items in the category for which they wish to submit an entry. 5. The entry fee is $1.00 per item for teens and adults, children under 13 years of age may enter for free. ---PAGE BREAK--- Arts & Crafts Entry Rules: 1. Entry times: see above. 2. All exhibits must be clean and in good condition. The Arts & Crafts Committee has the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet these requirements. 3. Every effort is made to ensure the safety of all entries. However, entries are accepted with the understanding that the Pahrump Fall Festival Executive Board, or any of its representatives, are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to any entry, equipment, participants, or spectators. 4. Entries must be claimed Sunday, September 22 between 4:15pm – 5:15pm by the exhibitor or authorized representative bearing the exhibitor’s receipt portion of the entry form. NO EXCEPTIONS. 5. An entry may be a grouping of 5 or less small articles entered as a set, as determined by the committee, one award may be given for the complete set. 6. No entry may be entered in more than one category. 7. Exhibits shall not exceed 2ft x 3ft of space without prior approval from the Arts & Crafts Committee due to space constraints. 8. No exhibit of a questionable nature, as determined by the Arts & Crafts Committee, will be accepted. 9. Consider including an index card with information about materials, technique, etc., for display with your entry; visitors like to read about the entries, especially unusual ones. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Judging (Decisions of Judges are Final): 1. All entries will be judged on individual merit & quality. 2. There may be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbon, or no ribbon, based on the judge’s discretion. 3. The Committee may combine, add or separate Lot categories depending on the number of entries. 4. All age groups will be judged separately. 5. Ribbons may be awarded as follows: • Blue – 1st place • Red – 2nd place • White – 3rd place • Orange – Honorable Mention • Green – Participation (Tadpole, Peewee and Youth only) • Multi-star – participation for special needs entrants only • Navy blue rosette – Lot Champion 1st place • Sapphire blue rosette – Lot Champion 2nd place • Purple rosette – Section Grand Champion 1st place • Lilac rosette – Section Grand Champion 2nd place 6. Theme Ribbon – A Teal Rosette will be awarded to the entry which best represents the theme of the Pahrump Fall Festival in each of the 3 areas: Arts/Photography, Food/Horticulture, Crafts. 7. The Town of Pahrump, its Board and its Staff, or any of its representatives, will not be responsible for losses of any kind, whether by fire, theft, physical violence, elements of nature or any other cause, however originating.
