2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 II 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 PAHRUMP TOWN BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 2006-31 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL CONTRACT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF NYE AND THE TOWN OF PAHRUMP ENTITLED, "INTERLOCAL CONTRACT FOR USE OF 1. 75 CENTS EXCISE TAX." WHEREAS, in accordance with Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 365.560 the Nevada Department of Taxation apportions a 1.75 cents per gallon excise tax levied on certain motor vehicle fuels to the Town of Pahrump (Town), which must be expended only upon the streets, alleys and public highways of the Town under the direction and control of the Pahrump Town Board; and WHEREAS, the Town currently does not own, control or maintain any streets or alleys within the Town boundaries; and WHEREAS, the County owns, controls and maintains certain streets and alleys within the Town boundaries; and WHEREAS, the Town and County agree that in order to put the 1. 7 5 cents excise tax to proper use the tax should be transferred to the County for its use in constructing, repairing and maintaining the streets and alleys owned or controlled by the County within the Town boundaries. NOW THEREFORE, the Pahrump Town Board of the County ofNye, State of Nevada, does hereby resolve that the Interlocal Contract entitled, "Interlocal Contract for Use of 1. 7 5 Cents Excise Tax," attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby approved and adopted.
