OTSEGO COUNTY PUBLIC BID OPENING Bid Due Date: June 20, 2025; 12:30p.m. Bid Opening Date: June 20, 2025; 1:00p.m. ~ro be read aloud at the bid opening: Thank you all for coming to the public bid opening for BID 2025-07 County Building Walkway Repair Project Introductions: County Personnel in Attendance: M-a#flew--Bar-resi- Qt5ego Co11oty ,t\dA1iAi9t!l't1to1 Thom Marquard- Otsego County Director of Plans and Programs Michelle Alexander- Otsego County Deputy Finance Director The purpose of the public bid opening today is just that: to open the bids in public. The County will perform an initial review of the submitted documentation for completeness according to the requirements set forth in the RFP. The County may seek clarification related to the initial review. For purposes of this public bid opening, the County will assign a preliminary rank that is based on price alone. However, even though bid price is used for the preliminary ranking, as stated in the RFP document and the County's purchasing policy, the bid will not be awarded on the basis of price alone. The County reserves the right to accept, reject or negotiate any or all bids, to waive or not waive informalities or irregularities in bids or bidding procedures, to rebid the project/purchase, and to accept any bid determined by the County to be in the best interest of the County, regardless of price. The reason for rejection may include past performance issues, and compatibility with existing equipment or software. Vendors located in Otsego County are hereby granted a 5% cost variance for low bid determination. The County will analyze the bid documents in more detail after the public bid opening. If necessary, the County will exercise its right to clarify any and all information it deems necessary to obtain an accurate understanding of the bid documents, by contacting the bidder. This public bid opening is not a public meeting of a County board or committee and as such no comments and questions from the public will be solicited and entertained.
