Page 1 of 1 Ogden City Council Meeting: September 19, 2017 RECOGNIZING YOUTH IMPACT Action: None Summary This is a request to recognize Youth Impact for providing Ogden’s youth with a safe place to learn, socialize, and grow during the past 25 years. Youth Impact Founding Director Rob Hall will be present to accept the recognition. It is anticipated that other representatives from Youth Impact will also be in attendance. Council Staff Contact: Brittany Griffin, (801)629-8103 ---PAGE BREAK--- The Ogden City Council and Mayor proudly recognize for providing invaluable contributions to the Ogden community. For the past 25 years, Youth Impact has provided Ogden’s youth with a safe place to learn, socialize, and realize who they are and who they can become. The organization currently engages more than 240 kids in our community with activities, classes, and service opportunities. Youth Impact promotes youths’ emotional and physical well-being by helping them cope with adversity, build self-esteem, and learn to work together. The organization places a strong emphasis on family values, consistent and reliable study habits, a sense of self- worth, and a clear understanding of giving to others for the benefit of the entire community. Relationships are at the core of the organization. Mentors, including founding director Rob Hall, cultivate personal relationships with participants and become aware of the dynamics in each life, providing otherwise vulnerable youth with consistency that is critical to their success in life. We are grateful for the immense impact Youth Impact has had on our community. Rob Hall and his staff and volunteers have changed the lives of countless individuals for the better.
