Newsletter Date Ogden City Corp TIMES 650 25th Street – Ogden, UT 84401 - (801) 629-8864 April 2017 ~ Volume 25~ Issue 4 Ogden Golden Hours SUPERVISOR’S CORNER By Bob Geier Well, April is National Stress Awareness Month. Each and every one of us have at some time realized real solid stress in our lives. Some people handle it better than other but we are all af- fected. Stress has been linked to some of the following ailments: depression, heart disease, obesity diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Stomach issues and asthma, and accelerated aging. Following are some tips on how to control stress in your life, don’t let it take you down! Communicate, talk to your significant other, friend, clergy and share your concerns, this is one healthy way of relieving stress. Maybe take some time and write down what’s bothering you. Start a letter to yourself: Dear Me, quit worrying about…… and also you can only do what you can do. Another way is to do something you like to do. Even during the last winter that was so darn nasty, my wife and I would take drives to look for wildlife. Perhaps you need to hop on the Wendover Bus and get out. Do something you like. Mindfulness, Meditation, Exercise are great avenues to reduce stress. Come join our classes with dancing or exercise and we are hoping to begin a meditation class, this class will focus on breathing and focusing on the moment not yesterday or tomorrow but now! If you are here at the center enjoy other members talk and live. If you need any help personally or on researching stress relief ask any of our staff. Get on line and check out the following Website. http://www.webmd.com/balance/stress-management/features/10-fixable-stress-related-health-problems#1 Ukulele Explosion!
