Ogden City City Council Meeting Results May 26, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. City Council Chambers Municipal Building – Third Floor 2549 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401 1. Roll Call. Recognition: a. Paul Kunz. Proposed Joint Resolution 2015-13 recognizing Paul Kunz for his significant contributions to the Ogden community. (Joint resolution adopted, vote: 7-0) b. Government Finance Officers Association – Distinguished Budget Award. Kim Coleman of the Utah Chapter of the GFOA will present the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for Ogden City’s FY2014- 15 Budget. c. Weber State University Softball Team. Proposed Joint Resolution 2015-14 honoring the Weber State University Softball Team for an exceptional season. (Joint resolution adopted, vote: 7-0) 5. Request to be on the Agenda: a. Venture High School. Presentations by students regarding sustainability. 6. Approval of Minutes: (Minutes Approved, vote 7-0) a. Work Session on March 31, 2015 – Council member Blair b. Study Session on April 7, 2015 – Council member Garner c. Work Session on April 7, 2015 – Council member Stephens 7. Public Hearings: a. Nomination of the Stock Exchange Building to the Local Historic Register. Proposed Ordinance 2015-22 approving the nomination of the Ogden Stock Exchange Building and interior lobby at 574 West Exchange Road to the Ogden City Register of Historic Places. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) b. Fiscal Year 2015-2019 Capital Improvement Plan Amendments. Proposed Ordinance 2015-18 modifying the FY2015-2019 Capital Improvement Plan. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) c. Fiscal Year 2015 Budget Amendments – Capital Improvement Plan Projects. Proposed Ordinance 2015-19 amending the budget for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 by increasing the anticipated revenues for a gross increase of $8,155,170. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) d. Fiscal Year 2015 Budget Amendments – Mowing Equipment. Proposed Ordinance 2015-20 amending the budget for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 by increasing the anticipated revenues for a gross increase of $395,000. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) ---PAGE BREAK--- 8. Reports from the Planning Commission: a. Parking Reduction Amendments. Proposed Ordinance 2015-23 amending the Ogden Municipal Code by amending section 15-8-5 and section 15-8-8 to revise parking requirements. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) b. Floodplain Ordinance Amendments. Proposed Ordinance 2015-21 amending Sections 3-5-4, 15-5- 1, and 15-26 of the Ogden Municipal Code revising the City’s standards and regulations for floodplains. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) 9. Reports from Administration: a. 2015 Election Process. Proposed Resolution 2015-11 expressing support of a vote by mail – hybrid process to conduct Ogden City’s 2015 Municipal Election. (Resolution adopted, vote: 7-0) 10.
