RESOLUTION NO. 2017-2 A RESOLUTION OF THE OGDEN CITY COUNCIL APPOINTING AN INTERIM CITY COUNCIL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR PENDING SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT OF A CITY COUNCIL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AND PROVIDING THAT THIS RESOLUTION SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON FINAL PASSAGE. WHEREAS the current City Council Executive Director, Bill Cook, is retiring effective February 24, 2017; and WHEREAS Mr. Cook’s retirement creates a vacancy in the City Council Executive Director position effective February 25, 2017; and WHEREAS there is a need to appoint an Interim City Council Executive Director pending selection and appointment of a City Council Executive Director. NOW, THEREFORE, the Ogden City Council hereby resolves that pending selection and appointment of a City Council Executive Director, City Council Deputy Director Janene Eller-Smith is appointed as Interim City Council Executive Director effective February 25, 2017, with the commensurate responsibilities, salary and benefits associated with the City Council Executive Director position.
