1 Ogden Redevelopment Agency Meeting: May 16, 2017 PROPOSED FY2017-2018 BUDGET - OGDEN CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Action: Accept for Review and Set Public Hearing for June 6, 2017 Executive Summary The Administration will present the FY2017-2018 Redevelopment Agency Budget. The Board will consider a Resolution accepting the budget for review and setting a public hearing for June 6, 2017. Background Each year the Mayor, serving as Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency, presents the RDA Budget at a meeting in May as required by state law. State law also requires that the annual budget be adopted not later than June 22. The Redevelopment Agency Board is comprised of all members of the Ogden City Council as Board members. The Chair of the City Council serves as the Chair of the Board. Proposal The current proposal is to Accept for Review and set a Public Hearing on the proposed FY2017-2018 RDA Budget, totaling $20,456,000, for June 6, 2016. The Mayor’s proposed Budget totaled $17,267,000. The Administration has submitted a proposed Schedule A that increases the budget $20,456,000. A work session will be held May 23, 2017 to review and discuss the proposed FY2017-2018 Budget. The RDA Budget will be posted on the City’s website at www.ogdencity.com. by 10:00 a.m. on May 17, 2017. The line item RDA budget was posted on May 3, 2017. RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE OGDEN CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018 AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 17C-1-601.5, UTAH CODE ANNOTATED, 1953. WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Ogden City Redevelopment Agency has caused an annual budget to be prepared for the Fiscal Year 2017-2018; and WHEREAS, it is required by Section 17C-1-601.5, Utah Code Annotated, 1953, as amended, that each redevelopment agency prepare and adopt an annual budget for each fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the Ogden City Redevelopment Agency has adhered to appropriate public hearing requirements as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Ogden City Redevelopment Agency that the budget for FY 2017-2018 be approved, adopted and made part of this resolution as Attachment subject to changes set forth in Schedule which is incorporated herein by reference.
