Ogden City City Council Meeting Results September 27, 2016 City Council Chambers Municipal Building – Third Floor 2549 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401 6:00 p.m. City Council Meeting Council Chambers 1. Roll Call. Present: Chair White Vice Chair Blair Council Member Hyer Council Member Lopez Council Member Stephens 2. Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Moment of Silence. 4. Common Consent: (Voice vote) a. Civil Service Commission. Consideration of the appointment of Dennis Gay to the Civil Service Commission. (Appointments approved, vote: 5-0) b. Christmas Village Committee. Consideration of the appointments of Holly Suisse and Stephanie Billings to the Christmas Village Committee. (Appointments approved, vote: 5-0) 5. Reports from the Planning Commission: a. Petition to amend the 12th Street Overlay Zone. Proposed Ordinance 2016-54 amending Subsection 15-45-4.L to increase maximum residential building height and to allow for flat roofs in certain areas. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 5-0 with minor amendments) 6. Reports from the Administration: a. Non-consensual Towing Amendments. Proposed Ordinance 2016-53 to amend Sections 5-8D-2, 5-8D- 4, 8-8D-6, and 5-8D-7.E regarding the definition of a controlled parking lot, notice of towing affixed to a vehicle, allowing impound yards used to be located outside of City boundaries, and modifying towing signs used on private property. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 5-0) 7. New Business: a. Fleet and Facilities Management and Operations Study. Presentation of Fleet and Facilities Management and Operations Study completed by Matrix Consulting Group, Ltd. (Report accepted for review: vote: 5-0) 8. Public Comments. This is an opportunity to address the Council regarding concerns or ideas on any topic. To be considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comments will be limited to three minutes per person.
