Good Luck on your new adven- ture. We will miss you! LIVING WELL WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS COURSE September is National Pain Awareness Month. According to WebMD, just about every- one feels pain from time to time. When you cut your finger or pull a muscle, pain is your body's way of telling you some- thing is wrong. Once the injury heals, you stop hurting. Chronic pain, however, is different. Your body keeps hurt- ing weeks, months, or even years after the injury. Doctors often define chronic pain as any pain that lasts for 3 to 6 months or more. Chronic pain can have real effects on your day-to-day life and your mental health. In an effort to not only bring awareness, but also to help our members manage pain and other chronic conditions, a Living Well With Chronic Conditions course will be held at Golden Hours. This is a 6 class course which will be held on Friday afternoons from 1pm to 3:30pm; beginning on Friday, Sep- tember 15. For more information or to sign up please call of visit the Front Desk. Space is limited. ---PAGE BREAK--- GOLDEN HOURS NEWSLETTER This newsletter is produced by the Golden Hours Center staff and is available at no cost to Center participants.
