Ogden City Council September 5, 2017 City Council Chambers Municipal Building – Third Floor 2549 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401 4:00 p.m. Joint Work Session City Council also acting as the Redevelopment Agency City Council Work Room September 5, 2017 The purpose of the joint work session includes presentations and discussions regarding: Introduction of Mexican Consul for Utah; Agenda review for the City Council meeting; Ogden Nature Center; Ogden Police Department Strategic Plan; Fiscal Year 2018 City Budget Amendment; Fiscal Year 2018 Redevelopment Agency Budget Amendment; Urban Chicken Policy – Next steps; Council/Board business; and Council/Board comments. Any items not fully addressed prior to the City Council meeting, which begins at 6:00 p.m., may be addressed immediately following that meeting. 6:00 p.m. City Council Meeting City Council Chambers September 5, 2017 1. Roll Call. 2. Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Moment of Silence. 4. Recognitions: a. Washington Heights Church. Recognizing Washington Heights Church for their many contributions to the Ogden community, including a recent home rehabilitation community service project. (No action required) b. Request to be on the agenda: a. Ogden Police Department Survey. Presentation by Dr. Monica Williams, Weber State University Assistant Professor. (No action required) 6. Common Consent: (voice vote) a. Ogden City Arts Committee. Consideration of the re-appointments of Michael Palumbo and Shane Osguthorpe to the Ogden City Arts Committee. (Approve reappointments) 7. Approval of Minutes: (voice vote) a. Regular Session of December 6, 2016 – Council member Stephens b. Joint Work Session of December 6, 2016 – Council member Blair c. Regular Session of January 3, 2017 – Council member Garner 8. Public Comments. This is an opportunity to address the Council regarding concerns or ideas on any topic. To be considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comment will be limited to three minutes per person. Participants are to state their name for the record. Comments, which cannot be made within these limits, should be submitted in writing to the City Council Office ([EMAIL REDACTED]). The Council encourages civil discourse for everyone who participates in our meetings.
