The Ogden City Council and Mayor proudly recognize for providing invaluable contributions to the Ogden community. Washington Heights Church has played a remarkable role in Ogden City. Throughout the years, they have completed multiple service projects within our community and throughout the world. Recently, Washington Heights Church remodeled 19 Ogden homes. With the help of 750 volunteers from the church, these homes were repaired, repainted, and yards cleaned up. Homeowners who did not have the resources to make renovations on their own were selected through an application process with the help of City officials. Since 2009, the church and its volunteers have rehabilitated homes in Ogden, Morgan, and West Bountiful. The church also recently donated $10,700 to help fund 79 extra-protection outer bulletproof vests for our police officers. We are grateful for Washington Heights Church’s many outstanding contributions to our community. Their service and generosity has been highly beneficially to Ogden City and our residents. We look forward to seeing more amazing work from the church in the years to come. Presented this 5th day of September 2017. Marcia L. White, Council Chair Michael P.
