Ogden City City Council Meeting Results June 16, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. City Council Chambers Municipal Building – Third Floor 2549 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401 1. Roll Call. Pursuant to Section 52-4-207 “Electronic Meetings” of the Open and Public Meetings Law, Vice Chair White will participate in the meeting via teleconference and such electronic means will provide the public body with the ability to communicate via the teleconference. Proposed Ordinance 2015-14 providing for the annexation of 0.82 acres of land generally located at 3284 South 1700 West and classifying said land as Manufacturing and Industrial Zone (Public hearing set for July 7, 2015, vote: 7-0) 5. Reports from Administration: a. Weight Restrictions on Public Streets. Proposed Ordinance 2015-27 amending the Ogden Municipal Code by amending Chapter 2 of Title 7 by adopting a new Section 18 to apply weight and other restrictions on public streets. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) 6. Public Hearings: a. FY2016 Budget Presentation. i. Salary Schedules. Proposed Ordinance 2015-24 adopting salary schedules for all employees of the city. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) ii. FY2016 City Budget. Proposed Ordinance 2015-25 adopting the budget for Ogden City for the Fiscal Year from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) iii. Marshall White Center Fees. Proposed Ordinance 2015-29 amending the Ogden Municipal Code by amending Subsection 4-6-1.B.9 to revise fees for the Marshall White Center. (Ordinance adopted with minor amendment, vote: 7-0) iv. City Attorney’s Office Fees. Proposed Ordinance 2015-30 amending the Ogden Municipal Code by amending Subsection 4-6-1.G to establish fees for attorney assisted collections; and amending Section 4-6-2 to adopt attorney’s fees associated with collection of city imposed fees. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) v. Consumer Price Index Source Amendment. Proposed Ordinance 2015-28 amending the Ogden Municipal Code by amending Subsection 4-6-1.B.19; Subsection 4-6-1.B.20; and Section 9-1-6 to revise the source information for the Consumer Price Index adjustment relative to sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water, and refuse utility charges. (Ordinance adopted, vote: 7-0) ---PAGE BREAK--- 7. New Business: a. Transportation Funding – HB362 Local Option Sales Tax. Proposed Joint Resolution 2015-15 supporting the HB362 (2015) authorized 0.25% local option general sales tax dedicated to transportation, encouraging the County of Weber to submit the proposal to voters in November 2015, and encouraging voters to support the proposal.
