Page 1 of 1 MINUTES IMPACT FEES STUDY COMMITTEE MEETING Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Oconee County Civic Center 7:00 p.m. Members Present: Ken Beall, Bob Cain, Billy Crozier, Mary Mellein, Penny Mills, Russ Page, Warren, Chuck Williams, Jon Williams Others Present: Gordon Maner (Facilitator – Carl Vinson Institute of Government), Wayne Provost (Strategic & Long-Range Planning Director), Melvin Davis (Chairman – Board of Commissioners), Chuck Horton (Commissioner), Krista Gridley (Planning Dept.) Gordon Maner called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Melvin Davis thanked the members for their service on this important and sensitive committee. Gordon reviewed the ground rules. The minutes of the 8/19/08 meeting were approved subject to one change at the end of the seventh paragraph as follows: “Also, Committee members can give their comments to spokesmen (Ken or Russ) if they desire. These will be forwarded to Wayne along with Russ & Ken’s comments.” The Committee reviewed and discussed the Subcommittee’s report and made some minor modifications (attached). The Committee also prepared a list of 7 consensus points (draft attached). Wayne will compile this list and distribute it with this month’s minutes for all Committee members’ review. The members will provide input back to Wayne by noon on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Wayne will then distribute the final list to the Committee and the Board of Commissioners. Wayne will also inquire of Chairman Davis about the possibility of a “presentation” of the Committee report at a future Board of Commissioners Meeting and inform the Committee of the answer. Wayne expects to have an answer sometime shortly after the September 25/26 Board of Commissioners Work Session.
