Application forms may be obtained from Murray City Human Resource office, phone 801-264- 2657, or online at www.murray.utah.gov Murray City is seeking candidates for a 15-20 hour per week (plus swim meets), non-benefited Head Swim Coach. Example of Duties: The following duties are intended to provide an example of representative duties and not as a comprehensive list. All obligations may not be listed here. • Supervises swim team practices, meets and other program related functions. • Leads, organizes and coordinates all swim team practices and physical workouts. Designs tailored workouts for various levels for abilities and • Coordinates swim meets with Aquatics Manager, and work with the parent committee in securing the necessary personal to run a swim meet. • Trains, and supervises the work of all assistant coaching staff and volunteer staff. • Prevents accidents by enforcing all facility related policies, rules, regulations, and policies and procedures. • Evaluates swim team program for effectiveness and participation levels. ---PAGE BREAK--- • Assists the Aquatic Manager in maintaining swim team budget. • Creates effective yearly, seasonal, and daily plans for the team and its athletes. • Generates and coordinates calendar/newsletter with Aquatics Manager. • Attend all staff meetings to provide input, planning and discussion of swim team issues and concerns. • Supervises activities and staff of the Pre-Comp program and Masters Swimming. • Accepts other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Manager or other supervisory staff. • May include overseeing the Murray Water Polo program. Minimum requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent, competitive swim coaching experience preferred. CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid and Safety Training for Swim Coaches. Pay Rate: $10.50-$14.50 Based on Experience EEO M/F/D/V February 1, 2010
