Application forms may be obtained from Murray City Human Resource office, phone 801-264- 2657, or online at www.murray.utah.gov Murray City is seeking candidates for a 6 hour per week, non-benefited Youth Water Polo Coach. Example of Duties: The following duties are intended to provide an example of representative duties and not as a comprehensive list. All obligations may not be listed here. • Supervises Youth Water Polo practices, games and other program related functions. • Coaches athletes in water polo activities; instructs athletes on proper techniques and strategies, including in-water instruction; observes athletes to detect and correct mistakes; provides feedback on performance. • Designs tailored workouts for various levels for abilities and • Motivates athletes to achieve higher levels of play. • Creates effective yearly, seasonal, and daily plans for the program and athletes. • Prevents accidents by enforcing all facility related policies, rules, regulation, and policies and procedures. ---PAGE BREAK--- • Evaluates Water Polo program for effectiveness and participation levels. • Attend all staff meetings to provide input planning and discussion of Water Polo program issues and concerns. • Assists the Aquatics Manager to achieve projected number of athletes and budget for the season. Generates and coordinates calendar/newsletter with Aquatics Manager. • Knows the rules and regulations applicable to competition, athlete eligibility, stroke and turn and other related technical aspects of competitive water polo as adopted by the governing bodies of the sport. • Accepts other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Manager or other supervisory staff. Minimum requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent, competitive water polo coaching experience preferred. CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid and Safety Training for Swim Coaches. Pay Rate: $9.90-$13.65 Based on Experience EEO M/F/D/V December 21, 2009
