January 24, 2014 Resident 5900 South Murray UT 84107 RE: 5900 South Reconstruction Project Dear Resident, This letter is to inform you that the City will be reconstructing 5900 South from State Street to 725 East. Construction is projected to begin in April and finish in November of 2014. This project will involve construction of a new water line, storm drain line, updated pedestrian ramps and replacement of selected curb and gutter, drive approaches and sidewalk. The entire road will receive a new asphalt surface. The project will also include pipeline work between State Street and Main Street. Due to the size and scope of the project, traffic will be impacted during construction. It is anticipated that two way traffic will be maintained during most phases of the project. However, when only a single lane of traffic can be maintained during pipeline installation, flagging with minor delays will occur. Residents will have access to their driveways through most of the construction and at the end of the day. However, we ask you to keep travel through the construction zone to a minimum. There will be times when driveway access will not be available and you will need to park out of the construction zone. You will be notified at least 24 hours prior to access impact. During construction Murray City will arrange for trash to be picked up early in the morning on the regular trash day, it will be your responsibility to put your cans on the curb the night before. If you have any questions or would like additional information, look on the Murray City Engineering website at http://murray.utah.gov/index.aspx?nid=926 or call Murray City Engineering Division at [PHONE REDACTED].
