There’s MORE to Murray Mixed Use Area In 2010 Murray City adopted the mixed use development district to encourage the development and redevelopment of Murray’s core areas into live/work neighborhoods. This area emphasizes pedestrian oriented design by providing amenities such as public open spaces, pedestrian walkways, wide sidewalks, bike lanes, attractive streetscape and transit opportunities. The district purposely blurs the line between business and residential uses and encourages compact, mixed use develop- ment. The area’s diversity makes it an ideal location for professionals, students and families to work, shop and play and strives to enhance overall livability for citizens in the community. Carefully planned mixed uses, including neighborhood oriented commercial and restaurant space, promote street life and pedestrian activity. Combining urban design and streetscape elements create a distinct visual quality for the area. ---PAGE BREAK--- Murray City exemplifies the best America has to offer . . . for over 100 years . . . a land of real opportunity with a trusted hometown feel. w w w . m u r r a y . u t a h . g o v For more information about Murray B.
