MUNICIPAL CODE: ORDINANCE: Chapter 15.20 08-19 EFFECTIVE: September 16, 2008 PAGE: 3.1 APPLICABILITY: RATES: MINIMUM CHARGE: SUPPLY COST ADJUSTMENT: SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Applicable to all single-phase and three-phase alternating current electric service not provided for under other schedules, at distribution voltages below 600 volts, served from existing facilities of suitable characters and capacity at one point of delivery for all approved electrical uses required on the premises. billings shall equal the sum of the following charges: The minimum charge for service hereunder shall be the customer charge plus appropriate energy and power charges. All bills shall be adjusted in accordance with Electric Service Schedule 30. 1. The customer's billing demand may, at the City's option, be adjusted when the customer's power factor is less than 90 percent lagging, as determined by measurement under normal load conditions. The billing demand will be the average kilowatt load measured during the fifteen-minute period of maximum use during the month, to the nearest whole kilowatt. 3. Any standard available distribution voltage, single or three-phase, but not more than one standard voltage, will be supplied under this schedule. 4. The City may require a contract for service under this schedule for a period of not less than one year. 5. Self-contained metering will be required under this schedule for all service entrances with main breakers of 320 amperes or less, except when justifiable extenuating circumstances apply and are approved by the City before the installation is made. 6. This rate schedule shall apply to those general service customers that have metered peak demands of less than 30.0 kW in at least six months of the most recent continuous twelve month period, and that have a metered peak demand of less than 35.0 kW in every month during the same twelve month period. (See rate schedule 9 or 15 for commercial customers not meeting these criteria.)
