Construction Notice Construction Notice 5900 South Crossing Work 5900 South Crossing Work April 18 April 18 - 24 24 Crossing upgrade work will take place on 5900 South in Murray the week of April 18 as part of the UTA FrontRunner South commuter rail construction project. The railroad crossing will be closed to through traffic, between 350 West and Stratler St., from Monday, April 18 through Sunday, April 24. Lane restrictions will be in place the week of April 25. Crossing upgrades include signal and track work, the installation of concrete medians and signs, road striping, and asphalt replacement. These improvements will make the crossing safer and also create a smoother ride for vehicles travelling across the railroad corridor. Business access will be maintained on either side of the railroad tracks but traffic will not be allowed to travel across the tracks during this work. Through traffic can detour south on 300 West, Winchester St. and 700 West or north on 300 West, Woodrow St., 5300 South and Commerce Dr. (See detour maps on back.)
