On-the-Job Accidents/Workers Compensation The City carries industrial accident insurance through the Workers Compensation Fund of Utah to cover certain injuries or illnesses resulting from your employment with the city. If you receive an injury while on the job, report it to your supervisor or department head immediately and complete an Employer's First Report of Injury. If your claim is approved your medical costs will be paid. Murray City will compensate all regular full time and part time employees for lost work days, as described in our detailed policy on workers compensation. Therefore, any monies you receive from The Workers Compensation Fund for lost working days must be turned in to the Human Resource office.
