Murray City Sewer Utility Specifications & Requirements Contacts: Sewer: Danny Astill Mark Ackerman Phone: (801) 270-2440 Fax: (801)270-2450 Orson sharp Mainline Sewer: PVC, (extruded as one piece or suitable equivalent) Reinforced Concrete Service Laterals: PVC Cast Iron Ductile Iron Service Clean Out: PVC, Cast Iron and Ductile Iron Pipe Cast Iron Wye required on all laterals Cast Iron Clean Out Cap With Brass Lid required on all laterals Murray City pipe bedding requirements; 6" of minimum bedding using 1 2 A minus gravel size, and a minimum of pipe zone bedding to 6" above the pipe using 1 2 A minus gravel size. Anything that deviates from these requirements or does not meet these minimums must be approved by Murray City Personnel. Testing; All sewer laterals must meet a water test, Murray City requires air tests on all main line pipe sections, to be performed by the contractor, Murray City requires a TV inspection of the complete line after the contractor has completed and passes the air test. The TV inspection will be performed by Murray City personnel.
