Construction Notice Construction Notice 4500 South Frontage Road Crossing Work 4500 South Frontage Road Crossing Work May 31 May 31 - June 5 June 5 Crossing upgrade work will take place on the 4500 South Frontage Road the week of May 30 as part of the UTA FrontRunner South commuter rail construction project. The railroad crossing will be closed to through traffic, between 160 West and 200 West, Tuesday, May 31 through Sunday, June 5. Lane restrictions will be in place the week of June 6. Crossing upgrades include signal and track work, the installation of concrete medians and signs, and striping and repaving the road. These improvements will make the crossing safer and also create a smoother ride for vehicles traveling across the railroad corridor. Business and residential access will be maintained on either side of the railroad tracks but traffic will not be allowed to travel across the tracks during the crossing closure. Through traffic will be detoured on Commerce Drive, 4800 South, State Street and Auto Boulevard. Box Elder Street and 200 West will also be used for detour traffic. When complete, FrontRunner South will offer high‐capacity mass transit service between Provo and downtown Salt Lake City. There will be a commuter rail station at 127 West Vine Street with a transfer point to the TRAX light rail line. Thank you for your patience!
