RESOLUTION NO. 89-21 WHEREAS, the United Nations Day, October 24, 1989, celebrates the rights of the child; and WHEREAS, the National Organization of League of Women voters is committed to the welfare of all children; and WHEREAS, the Moscow League of Women Voters is undertaking a study of the needs of Moscow's children; and WHEREAS, the League's study will focus on the before and after school care and nutritional needs of children in grades K-6; and WHEREAS, this study will enable the community to gain a better understanding of the needs of our children. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW that this study is of value to the community and that they are committed to supporting this study by appointing Elaine Russell, City Clerk to be liaison with the League during the life of this project and request that findings be presented at the end of the study.
