MOTOROLA C.,i'\ITRALINK 911 YEAR 2000 READY UPGRADE PROPOSAL August 24, 1999 Moscow Police Department Attn: Sis Clift 118 East St. Moscow, ID 83843 Dear Sis: Motorola is pleased to present this Proposal to assist you in preparing your CENTRALINK equipment for the Year 2000 as quickly and efficiently as possible. We hope this assistance will expedite your Year 2000 readiness efforts. The package that Motorola is proposing will upgrade your system so that it is Year 2000 Ready and also includes State-of-the-Art additional features at no additional cost**. The package includes: • Wireless 10/20 Digit (Feature Group D) The upgrade provides ANI information to identify wireless callers, as mandated by the FCC. • Caller ID on Administrative Lines This feature is offered as an option with new CENTRALINK systems, but is included free of charge with this upgrade package (up to 9 lines). • Integrated Management Reports (Optional Capability) This ALI software provides a set of reports that enables you to review call activity, monitor operational statistics, and assess facility utilization. It is offered as an option with new CENTRALINK systems. An upgrade is included free of charge if you have already purchased this option. • ISDN Capability (optional) The inherent improvements of ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) offer call handling efficiencies over CAMA (Centralized Automatic Message Accounting) signaling. With this Year 2000 upgrade option, your CENTRALINK ANI will support both CAMA and ISDN signaling. • Industry Standard Operating System Our Year 2000 software will migrate your CENTRALINK system to a Unix Ware 7 UNIX® platform. Customers who choose to migrate to CENTRALINK 2000 will use a Windows NT® platform. TI1ese operating systems are deployed across many industries, with widespread support. The computer brings your CENTRALINK system up to date with current technology, including a faster processor and more memory. • Terminals, Phones & Most ANI Hardware can be reused The equipment that your call takers most commonly use can remain in use. This provides for a smooth transition to the new upgraded system, without downtime for training. **Notes: 1 If you currently have Wireless 10/20 Digit ANI the will remain the same. There will be no changes to the existing configuration. 2 If you currently have Caller ID the functionality will remain the same. There will be no changes to the existing configuration. 3 If you do not currently have Wireless 10/20 Digit ANI, (Local Telco provider must provide this service), and you want your system programmed for this new feah1re (Wireless 10/20 Digit ANI) that is included with your upgrade, this feah1re will be integrated at a later date. If you elect to have your system upgraded with Wireless 10/20 Digit ANI, please contact your local Motorola Sales Representative or E-911 Specialist for scheduling dates. Due to the large demand for Year 2000 Upgrades, Motorola will prioritize resources accordingly. This feature is available at no cost if requested by September 30 1999, and implemented prior to September 30 2000. 4 If you do not currently have Caller ID, (Local Telco provider must provide this service), and you want your system programmed for this new feature (Caller ID) that is included with your upgrade, this feature will be integrated at a later date. This upgrade will include one NGLS9 card, which will allow Caller ID on up to 9 of the admin. lines connected to the ANI Switch. If you elect to have your system upgraded with Caller ID, please contact your local Motorola Sales Representative or E-911 Specialist for scheduling dates. Due to the large demand for Year 2000 Upgrades, Motorola will prioritize resources accordingly. This feature is available at no cost if requested by September 30 1999, and implemented prior to September 30 2000. If you do not have this purchasable option, please contact your Motorola Sales Representative or E911 Specialist for a quote on installation and training. 6 If would like to purchase the ISDN capability (optional) for your current system, please contact your Motorola Sales Representative or E-911 Specialist for a quote. 7 One other option in Year 2000 readiness is an upgrade to CENTRALINK 2000, our new Windows NT product. The following documents, attached hereto, are incorporated in and made a part of this Proposal: 1 The upgrade pricing is set forth at Attachment A. 2 The Statement of Work detailing the responsibilities of the parties in the performance of this project is set forth at Attachment B. 3 The Acceptance Test Plan by which the work performed shall be accepted by you is set forth at Attachment C. 4 The Terms and Conditions upon which this Proposal is predicated are set forth at Attachment D. Due to the limited scheduling window, your timely response is certainly critical for the scheduling and implementation of the upgrades. As a result of the limited window, the Proposal is valid for your acceptance tmtil September 1, 1999. Payment terms are Net 30 from Upgrade Acceptance or Beneficial Use. If you have additional questions, please contact your local Motorola Account Manager, Keith Cook, or myself. Motorola technicians will be available in early 1999 to begin performing system upgrades.
