MOSCOW COMMUNITY WALK PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, The City of Moscow celebrates the 2nd Annual Moscow CommUNITY Walk; and WHEREAS, Human beings everywhere are inherently good and decent, peace and harmony among people of all faiths and persuasions is possible, and that such relationships will help further understanding in our shared world; and WHEREAS, In this community we strive to embrace unity and harmony to promote the peaceful existence we have fostered in our great city; and WHEREAS, As people from all backgrounds walk together on common ground to symbolize our commitment to moving through this life together in unity; and WHEREAS, We invite people from all backgrounds, to join in this event: the Moscow CommUNITY Walk Day. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Nancy Chaney, Mayor of the City of Moscow, do hereby proclaim Saturday, April 26th, 2008 as Moscow CommUNITY Walk Day in the City of Moscow to promote meaningful connections among all in the community and beyond, and I urge all citizens to participate in this inspirational and momentous event.
