RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 12 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, IDAHO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, ADOPTING AMENDED STANDARD CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC STREETS AND UTILITIES WITHIN CITY LIMITS. WHEREAS, the City has been utilizing City of Moscow Standard Construction Drawings, specifications and notes contained therein as standards to be applied to construction of public streets and utilities within City limits; and WHEREAS, such standards are in need of amendment; and WHEREAS, the City adopted in Resolution No. 97-04 standard construction specifications as part of Moscow City Code Section 5-1-5 to be used in the construction of streets in Low Density Single Family; Moderate Density Single Family; and Medium Density Residential; and Multiple Family Residential Zoning Districts (R-1, R-2, R-3 and R-4); and WHEREAS, also in Resolution No. 97-04 City adopted City of Moscow Standard Construction Drawing no. 7b (residential street lighting alternates) and the drawing specifications and notes contained therein for the Low Density Single Family; Moderate Density Single Family; and Medium Density Residential; and Multiple Family Residential Zoning Districts (R-1, R-2, R-3 and R-4); and WHEREAS, it was the intent of the City Council to apply the standards adopted in Resolution No. 97-04 as those which should be applied as a standard to be applied to construction, repair and maintenance of public streets in the respective Zoning Districts; and WHEREAS, the standards contained in this current Resolution are standard construction drawings which specifically set forth the requirements for the construction of public streets and utilities, including, but not limited to public sidewalks, curbs, paving, storm sewer systems, sanitary sewer systems and water systems and all related appurtenances; and WHEREAS, public streets and utilities, upon completion of their installation, will thereinafter be permanently owned and maintained by the City for public use; and WHEREAS, the purpose of this Resolution is to clarify that the drawings adopted hereby and all specifications and notes contained therein are those to be applied to all construction, repair and maintenance of public streets and utilities within the City limits from and after the effective date of this Resolution; ---PAGE BREAK--- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, IDAHO AS FOLLOWS: The City Council hereby adopts City of Moscow Standard Construction Drawings one through thirty one (31 including subsections, attached hereto. It is the intent of the Council to apply the .standards herein adopted for the construction, repair and maintenance of public streets and utilities and that they apply to requirements of Moscow City Code Section 5-1-5 from and after the date of passage of this Resolution. All City of Moscow Standard Construction Drawings, specifications and notes not consistent with those adopted herein shall be and are hereby superseded by the City of Moscow Standard Construction Drawings one through thirty one (31), including subsections, attached hereto.
