RESOLUTION NO. 2015 - 03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, AGREEING TO SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATE IN AMERICA'S BEST COMMUNITIES (ABC) PRIZE CAMPAIGN, JOINTLY WITH THE CITY OF PULLMAN, WASHINGTON, BY SUBMITTING A COLLABORATIVE APPLICATION WITH THE CITY OF PULLMAN AND MOSCOW CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN SUPPORT OF THE PULLMAN­ MOSCOW REGIONAL AIRPORT RUNWAY REALIGNMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING THIS RESOLUTION TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the City Council is interested in the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport Runway Realignment project and the economic benefits it will provide to the local community and its citizens; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to participate and encourage appropriate efforts to support and promote the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport project and the economic benefits it brings to the community and region as well as the economic well-being of its citizenry; and WHEREAS, Frontier Communications, DISH Network and other organizations are offering a prize campaign designed to help rural communities in Frontier's service areas develop economic vitality and entrepreneurial spirit and encourage creativity and innovation that supports long term growth; and, WHEREAS, this program is entitled the America's Best Communities Prize Campaign, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Moscow, Idaho, hereby supports and endorses America's Best Communities Prize Campaign application in support of the Pullman-Moscow Runway Realignment project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Moscow, Idaho, designates the Moscow Chamber of Commerce as the administrative and fiscal agent for this campaign.
