RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMMUNITY; PROVIDING THIS RESOLUTION TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the City Council IS interested m the economic health and resources of the community and its citizens; and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to support and encourage the appropriate efforts within the community that promote economic development of the community and the economic well-being of its citizenry; and WHEREAS, the Idaho Department of Commerce is offering a program specifically designed to help Idaho communities implement economic development strategies I projects from their one year GEM COMMUNITY plans; and WHEREAS, this program is entitled the GEM COMMUNITY Implementation Grant Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Moscow as follows: I. The Council supports and endorses the participation of City in the GEM COMMUNITY Implementation Program of the Idaho Department of Commerce; and that the Latah Economic Development Council is the organization authorized to perform the tasks necessary for application for and implementation of a GEM COMMUNITY Implementation Grant, and that said organization will follow the guidelines established by the Idaho Department of Commerce and that said organization shall report to the Council regarding its progress. 2.
