RESOLUTION 2000-07 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, STATING THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW FOR A TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM PROJECT AT THE CITY'S PROPOSED HIGHWAY 95 SOUTH COUPLET. WHEREAS, the City of Moscow wishes to develop sidewalks, bicycle/pedestrian pathways, a bicycle/pedestrian plaza, and landscaping to provide for alternative modes of transportation in and around the proposed Highway 95 south couplet; and WHEREAS, the City of Moscow will submit an application to the Idaho Transportation Department {lTD) for reimbursement of expenditures related to that project through lTD's Transportation Enhancement Program; and WHEREAS, lTD requires a resolution of support for the project from the Moscow City Council as a prerequisite to application for Transportation Enhancement funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSCOW AS FOLLOWS: That the Moscow City Council supports the proposed Enhancement project; that it has the legal authority to apply for and pledge funds in the amount of the match indicated on the application; that those matching funds will be available for the project; and that the City will provide maintenance for the project upon completion.
